Step-by-step guide to getting your comps into Blender.
After Effects is a really powerful compositing tool which does loads of cool things, but it's not a 3D package. Since Adobe CC was introduced Cinema4D Lite has been bundled with it, but this is hugely limited. Blender is free, open-source 3D software which has lots of potential, but it has a steep learning curve. I've created a series of videos to cover the basics of using it from the perspective of an After Effects artist.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to install a simple script which exports After Effects cameras, 3D objects and lights into a format which can be imported into Blender.
