In this video, I'll show you how to use the AEJuice plugin to add a free 3D phone, (with your footage) to your After Effects composition. These phones are perfect for adding extra depth to your scenes. And most importantly, you don't need Cinema4D, Blender or any other program to achieve this!
I've needed to add a phone to a few of my videos recently, to help illustrate settings etc..., and when I went looking for the best way to do this, I stumbled across the free 2.5D devices pack from AEJuice. And at about the same time, AEJuice reached out to me to ask if I'd be interested in making a video talking about one of their products.
Once you install their package manager, you get access to a range of useful free effects and transitions. This tutorial / review is entirely my own, AEJuice are helping to promote it and have provided me with an affliate link.
You don't have to buy anything, but if you use the link here, then I'll get something back. If you are thinking about signing up for any of their packs and want to show your support for me, then it's a win-win.
I don't just use the phone as it's downloaded, I also share a few tips to make it easier to animate with and how to add a screen glow, using the CC Repetile to extend the image.
