A quick tour of some hidden options.
The video explores the fabled After Effects Secret menu, showing you how to access it (hint: hold SHIFT) and what to find there when you do.
All three options are connected to rendering and to be honest, probably won’t that much of a difference, but they are worth exploring. At least two of them are.
Disable Layer Cache will slow down your render times, but if you’re working on a computer without a lot of RAM, unchecking this might help, but your renders will take longer.
Purge every ‘0’ frames During Make Movie clears the RAM every X fames when set. If your RAM fills up, it can cause AE to fail during render.
The final option is something to be avoided and I’ll explain why in the video.
