Take a trip through space, flying past stars to observe amazing nebula up close and in 3D.
In this video, I've collaborated with Astrobloke to create an animated sequence based on his astrophotography.
I walk you through the basics of how to take a 2D image of a nebula and use Adobe After Effects to arrange it in 3D space and then cut out various elements of it to create a sense of depth. Once that's done, I show how to create a virtual camera and fly around the nebula. Finally, I add some 3D stars from an earlier tutorial, a lens flare and a neat trick to create even more sense of depth. Along the way, I also share tips like how to use Adobe Express.
