Jupiter: Animated vs Procedural textures

Recreate the planet in After Effects.
Part of the Makin' Planets tutorial series, this video looks at different ways to create textures for Jupiter or any gas giant (i.e. Yavin). The first part of the tutorial takes a texture map and uses After Effect's Liquify effect to distort and animate this distortion over time. The second method uses Fractal Noise, Tritone, Turbulent Displace and Displacement Map effects to create a procedural version.
